If you enjoy having a a drink every once in a while, keep your cash at home if you are going to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Clean out your pocketbook, your wallet, and leave all money, charge cards and cheques out of the casino. Take whatever money you expect to use on refreshments, tipping and whatever pocket change you anticipate to lose and leave the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not at all. Realistic more like. You may well have a win after a boozy night out with your comrades and be blessed enough to hook a marathon roll at a on fire craps game. Keep that adventure considering that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you regularly consume alcohol and gamble. The two simply don’t go well together.
Leaving your money out of the casino is a tiny bit excessive, but precautionary measures for dramatic behavior is essential. If you bet to win, then don’t drink and gamble.
